All-in-One Computer Ethernet Interface: Heat-sensitive Ethernet controller | Auckland
Pattern to record: Link is normal from cold and drops during sustained transfer.
Separate the adapter from the network
Identify whether Ethernet is built into the all-in-one or supplied through an external adapter. Compare the rear connector with a known cable and switch port before opening the display assembly. One possible explanation is that the controller or regulator becomes unstable as temperature rises.
Link and configuration checks
- Compare link before Windows loads, inspect the rear port and test another switch connection.
- Log temperature and traffic while comparing external airflow and supply stability.
Before internal work
All-in-one internal mains sections require trained handling. Freezing spray and uncontrolled heating can damage nearby parts.
Verify the network path
If the checks support this cause, repair the heat-sensitive controller, regulator or cooling condition. Verification should cover link speed, sustained traffic, camera or video workload, sleep and restart.
