Blue Screen While Gaming: Why the Stop Code Is Only One Clue
A blue screen during gaming is not automatically a graphics card failure. Games put load on the CPU, GPU, memory, storage and power supply at the same time. A weakness in any of those areas can show up only during gaming or rendering.
Take a photo of the stop code if possible, but do not rely on it alone. The same code can appear for different reasons depending on the hardware and driver state.
Patterns to record
Does the crash happen in every game or only one? Does it happen after a fixed amount of time? Did it start after a driver update, Windows update or hardware change? Are temperatures high? Was XMP, EXPO or overclocking enabled recently?
These details help separate software conflicts from heat, power and memory instability.
Test carefully
Avoid pushing the machine through repeated crashes. Blue screens can corrupt files and make Windows less stable. A structured diagnosis can check temperatures, event logs, memory stability, storage health and driver versions.
