Business PC Secure Boot System: Failed memory training data | Auckland
Pattern to record: Cold boot loops before POST but may succeed after several attempts.
Record the boot configuration
A managed business PC may depend on an approved Secure Boot policy, TPM state and recovery credentials. Record the exact warning and recent change before resetting firmware or replacing hardware. One possible explanation is that saved timing information no longer matches installed memory or current conditions.
Preserve recovery options
Security resets can make encrypted data inaccessible without recovery credentials. Increased voltage is not a safe substitute for compatibility.
Firmware and hardware checks
- Record encryption status and approved policy before changing TPM or Secure Boot settings.
- Return memory settings to baseline and test supported modules individually.
Recovery and startup checks
If the checks support this cause, clear only the training data or replace incompatible memory after confirmation. Verification should cover authorised sign-in, restart, updates, encryption status and managed applications.
