Test Webcam Anti-Flicker Settings Under the Lights You Actually Use
Flickering bands in a webcam image can depend on the room lighting and the camera's capture timing. A useful first comparison keeps the scene fixed and changes the supported anti-flicker setting, rather than changing resolution, cables and lighting all at once.
Make a stable local test
Open a trusted local camera preview and confirm that the intended webcam is selected. Use the lighting normally present during a call, including any desk lamp. Keep private papers and screens out of view while testing.
Logitech's BRIO 500 and 501 guidance describes an Anti-flicker control in Logi Tune with 50 Hz and 60 Hz choices. It explains that the suitable setting depends on the lighting environment. Follow the controls available for your model; a similarly named camera may expose them through different software.
Record the current choice. Try the alternative supported setting while keeping the lights, camera position and scene unchanged. Watch a plain background and your face for moving bands or brightness pulses, then compare with the original choice.
Confirm the improvement in the intended app
If one choice helps, keep it and open the meeting application you actually use. Check its preview too, because an application may use its own controls or present a different result. A short test recording can make a subtle pulse easier to compare later.
If neither setting helps, test one light source at a time where practical. Record whether the effect changes when a particular lamp or dimmer setting changes. Do not assume that every lighting-related effect can be removed by a camera setting.
Distinguish flicker in the captured image from the computer display itself flickering. If an external viewer or saved recording is clean while your screen flickers, that is a different investigation.
Keep a note of the lighting and setting that passed. Recheck after moving desks or changing lamps. The result you need is stable video in the real calling environment, rather than a frequency choice selected only from a regional label.
