USB Conference Speakerphone: Audio or video format conflict | Auckland
Pattern to record: Lower settings work but a preferred high-quality mode fails.
Trace video, input and output separately
Test the speakerphone’s playback, microphone and mute controls separately. This guide concerns USB mode; a model that also offers Bluetooth must be diagnosed in the mode actually used during the call. One possible explanation is that the selected resolution, frame rate or sample format is unsupported by part of the path.
Compare the failing connection
- Test input and output separately, compare another host and inspect USB power stability.
- Compare supported formats across device, cable, driver and application.
Before changing the setup
Avoid maximum volume tests when audio is distorted or the unit is hot. Forcing exotic formats can create silence or unstable capture.
Restore the intended function
If the checks support this cause, select a mutually supported format or repair the limiting connection. Verification should cover microphone, speaker, mute controls, call software, reconnect and sleep.
