USB Conference Speakerphone: Device sleep-resume failure | Auckland
Pattern to record: The device works after reboot but not after sleep.
Trace video, input and output separately
Test the speakerphone’s playback, microphone and mute controls separately. This guide concerns USB mode; a model that also offers Bluetooth must be diagnosed in the mode actually used during the call. One possible explanation is that the accessory or driver does not reinitialise after low-power transition.
Compare the failing connection
- Test input and output separately, compare another host and inspect USB power stability.
- Compare cold start, reconnect and sleep while reviewing driver events.
Before changing the setup
Avoid maximum volume tests when audio is distorted or the unit is hot. Repeated unplugging can wear connectors without addressing the state fault.
Restore the intended function
If the checks support this cause, update the correct driver or firmware and repair supported power settings. Verification should cover microphone, speaker, mute controls, call software, reconnect and sleep.
