USB Conference Speakerphone: USB or Bluetooth speakerphone mode?
Pattern to record: The expected speakerphone microphone or output is absent in one connection mode.
Trace video, input and output separately
Test the speakerphone’s playback, microphone and mute controls separately. This guide concerns USB mode; a model that also offers Bluetooth must be diagnosed in the mode actually used during the call. Bluetooth profiles matter only when the speakerphone is connected through Bluetooth; USB mode exposes its own playback and recording endpoints.
Compare the failing connection
- Test input and output separately, compare another host and inspect USB power stability.
- Identify the active USB or Bluetooth connection and choose its matching input and output in the call application.
Before changing the setup
Avoid maximum volume tests when audio is distorted or the unit is hot. Do not diagnose a USB-only speakerphone by changing unrelated Bluetooth profiles.
Restore the intended function
If the checks support this cause, correct the endpoint selection or supported connection mode before attempting a mode-specific driver repair. Verification should cover microphone, speaker, mute controls, call software, reconnect and sleep.
